You may be wondering what in the world “Puckahuddle” painting means!!!! We hope it grabs your attention and perks your interest! The sisters have loved that word for years, long before we had an inkling of an idea that we would be using it in the title of this venture! We are excited with our decision to use this old Native American term. We may be taking a bit of liberty in stretching its authentic meaning to fit our usage…just saying! Old Indian legend speaks of “Puckahuddle” in reference to “a happy place where friends meet.” Well…how perfectly does this fit Joy’s online class for painting canvases together? Joy will offer this very thing…the happy atmosphere where friends can meet and paint. The setting of her art studio is in Oklahoma, a state with proud ties to Native American culture, thus another appropriate tie to the class title!

Joy has experience with this type of class. She’s offered them in her studio over the past six years. Her regulars find joy in this time with her! Her love of instructing this class just keeps blooming as she looks for  fresh, original ideas, and fun themed pieces to develop. She describes her style as mainly whimsical…and that a little messy never bothers her! She loves, loves, loves color. Painting takes her to another place, thinking of it as a happy process from beginning to end. For her it is therapeutic…relaxing….peaceful.

Joy gives simple, step by step instruction. It is art for fun…no experience needed. Online you are able to enjoy this party from the comfort of your cozy home. She will let you know with previews what the theme will be and the few supplies you might have ready. You can paint along with her…but also stop and rewind as needed! So many possibilities can arise from this: a much needed solo escape hour of doing something fun for yourself; getting your family gathered to paint around the table with you; gathering your family from across the country to join you online, able to comment to them as you paint; girlfriends gathered with your refreshments at hand… and on and on and on!!!
